The Z2 Systems R3000 Storage Server, is a 1U rack mount purpose-built storage appliance with 3TB (after RAID) of enterprise SATA based storage, dual 1Gb Ethernet and one 10Gb Ethernet interface. At the heart of the R3000 is a custom software configuration tightly coupled with Citrix XenServer which enables advanced snap-shotting and roll-back of individual virtual machines in addition to traditional OS-based network backups, as well as on-disk cloning of VM’s for instantly bootable copies for test & evaluation or other purposes The R3000 is expandable to 96TB, with a mixture of SAS or Enterprise SATA drives via multiple add-on expansion trays. | | R3000x Integrated Server
The Z2 Systems R3000x Integrated Server is built upon a “twin-server” architecture and provides both a fast and scalable storage platform and a robust virtualization server platform integrated into a single rack mount chassis. The R3000x includes a 3TB RAID/Z storage array with 2.40GHz Intel Xeon Quad Core CPU and 4.0GB SDRAM, a virtualization platform with Dual 2.30GHz Intel Xeon Quad Core CPUs and 16.0GB SDRAM, and a high-speed (10GbE) private network between the nodes. The R3000x includes the same advanced storage appliance software solution included in the R3000, but directly couples it with a virtualization platform for instant virtualization, “out of the box”. |  | | |
